Ongkit Lepcha

Ongkit Lepcha is a member of the self-help group Amu Sakchum from North Sikkim, Noom Panang. Their group has actively represented Sikkimese handloom and handicrafts at exhibitions in Siliguri, Goa, and Kolkata, and participated in a 10-day handloom training program in Guwahati.

The SHG has been recognized for excellence, receiving the Best SHG award from ICFAI College and on Handloom Day organized by D.H.H. They have also showcased their products at Sikkim Design Week and over a two-day exhibition program. Their work is available at the Sales Emporium, reflecting the skill and dedication of the group in preserving Sikkim’s craft heritage.
