Mingur Dorjee Bhutia

Mingur Dorjee Bhutia, a graduate of the four-year Thangka training programme at the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom (D.H.H.), blends classical precision with his own creative imagination. Known for his intricate detailing, his Thangkas carry both individuality and depth.

Versatile in his practice, he has also worked on wall paintings, Choktse painting, and decorative projects in cane and bamboo. In 2025, he participated in Sikkim Design Week as part of Oviya Art Circle, where he showcased his Thangka painting. A dedicated member of the Oviya Art Circle of Sikkim, he also contributes to voluntary community art projects.

Today, his works are displayed at the Sales Emporium, offering visitors a glimpse into his unique balance of tradition and imagination.
